Who we are

This website belongs to Son of the Sea Developments, a licensed residential builder operating in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Beaudesert. QBCC licence 15580495. You can reach us at dylan@sonoftheseadevelopments.com.au.

What we collect when you enquire

If you fill in the enquiry form we collect the name, phone number, email address, suburb, project type and job details that you give us. We use that information to respond to your enquiry and to quote your job. We do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a marketing list.

Form submissions are delivered to us through Formspree, a form handling service, which passes the message to our inbox.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site, such as which pages get read and whether visitors start an enquiry. This is measured in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can refuse them using the banner that appears on your first visit, or reopen it any time with the cookie settings link in the footer. If you refuse, analytics is switched off for you and the related cookies are cleared.

Your browser can also block or delete cookies directly, and the site will keep working normally.

Hosting and technical logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, their servers keep standard access logs that can include IP addresses and browser details. These are used for delivering and securing the site.

How long we keep things

Enquiry emails stay in our inbox so we have a record of what was discussed. Analytics data is retained for fourteen months and is then deleted by Google automatically.

Asking us about your information

If you want to know what we hold about you, or you want it corrected or deleted, email dylan@sonoftheseadevelopments.com.au and we will sort it out.

Questions about any of this? Email us and ask. We would rather explain it than have you wonder.
